My Most Successful Project This is a collage peice I personally named "The Lady", I consider this my most successful peice because of three things: 1, I had a lot of fun making it. 2, it came out perfectly and I'm extremely happy with it. 3, people seemed to like it the most, I have gotten a lot of compliments on it. The Project I would Do-Over Differently Aesthetically speaking, I am happy with this work. I am happy with the porportions and the body language and the background. One thing I would change would be the effort I had put into coloring, and make it bolder and brighter. I may rework this in the future. Compare and Contrast I enjoy sculpture as well as I enjoy 2-D art. These two works both involve string, something I enjoy working in. They both have an object suspended with string or ribbon, they both present ideas, and they both brought me fun in making them. The differences are one is a juxtaposition peice, whereas the other is Artist Observe. The paper cranes and the black frame present a uniform and modern sculpture, and the juxaposition presents something morbid in a colorful and pastel mannerism, such as a crib mobile. Artistic Behaviors
I think the idea of letting the art make itself is fun and interesting, and forcing it too hard could ruin the process of making it. Start with something small and make things up as you go. That's how most of my work has been done, and i've enjoyed making all of it. This idealist approach- making stuff up as you go- is fun and is actually how I live most of my life by. "make it up as you go" would be an interesting unit.
